Scope of Work
Combat Development and Integration is the institutional and intellectual epicenter for the evolution of the Marine Corps. We prepare the Marine Corps for what lays ahead through identifying and facilitating the fielding of Marine Corps warfighting capabilities to using units as expeditiously as possible.
We assess the environment, develop and validate concepts, identify capabilities, and develop solutions to ensure Marine Corps operating forces have the necessary capabilities to remain the world's foremost expeditionary warfighting organization. We are the only organization in the Marine Corps that touches every aspect of the Corps -- across doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel and facilities.
We are 18,000 personnel spread over several command located across the county, of whom 2700 are officers, 11,000 are enlisted and 4,000 are government civilians. Our focus is on the Individual Marine -- Whether championing urgent needs from the field, enhancing training and education programs, experimenting with new tactics and technology, or incorporating lessons learned we never lose sight of the fact that our Marines deserve the best training and equipment available.
We inform, address and develop solutions on a broad range of critical issues for senior leadership at the highest levels of Marine Corps and the Department of Defense.
